InQuizitive

InQuizitive is Norton’s award-winning, easy-to-use adaptive learning tool that personalizes the learning experience for students and helps them master—and retain—key learning objectives. Through a variety of question types, answer-specific feedback, and gamelike elements such as the ability to wager points, students are motivated to keep working until they’ve mastered the concepts. Students then come to class better prepared, giving you more time for meaningful discussions and activities. InQuizitive can also improve students' test grades when assigned consistently for points, as a part of the overall course grade. The convenience of LMS integration saves you time by allowing InQuizitive scores to report right to your LMS gradebook.

InQuizitive for Psychology in Your Life has been thoroughly revised based on direct feedback from students and data from student performance. New and revised questions focus on areas that students generally struggle with and reinforce content that’s new to the third edition. Questions and feedback also now integrate the NEW Concept Videos.

NEW Concept Videos

Over 20 1−3-minute animated videos based on the most important concepts in introductory psychology, as identified by instructors. The videos connect concepts to a diverse cast of characters in relatable everyday scenarios. Streamlined diagrams and summaries in the videos help students quickly master difficult topics.

Coursepack

Easily add high quality Norton digital media to your online, hybrid, or lecture course. Norton Coursepacks work within your existing learning management system. The expanded coursepack includes a Guiding Reading Assignment for each chapter to help students focus their reading, ethics essays highlighting current issues in psychology, flashcards, and an array of quizzes:

• Pre-Lecture and Post-Study Quizzes pinpoint areas of student difficulty and track effectiveness of teaching efforts.
• Chapter Review Quizzes
• Concept Video Quizzes assess students' understanding of the concepts covered by the new videos.
• Demonstration Video Quizzes

Test Bank

Norton uses an innovative, evidence-based model to deliver high quality and pedagogically effective quizzes and testing materials. The framework to develop our test banks, quizzes, and support materials is the result of a collaboration with leading academic researchers and advisers. Questions are classified by section and difficulty, making it easy to construct tests and quizzes that are meaningful and diagnostic.

As with previous editions, the test bank was revised under the supervision of Sarah Grison, who selected and trained the authors as well as vetted every question for accuracy and relevance. The test bank features a 25% increase in (NEW) multiple-choice and short-answer questions per chapter.

The test bank offers data analysis of most of its multiple-choice questions based on actual results from student testing. Point-biserial r data for questions not only tell instructors that all the questions are suitable for use, but also help them determine which questions are best for their needs. And since the percentages of students who answered each question correctly and incorrectly are included, instructors can also assess and address misconceptions.

NEW HIP (High Impact Practice) Guide to Teaching Psychology

A guide to teaching psychology, written by Sarah Grison, for new and experienced instructors alike. In addition to ideas for in-class activities, demonstrations, and discussions, the HIP Guide combines up-to-date research on best practices for teaching with a practical weekly guide for how to effectively support all students.

ZAPS Norton Psychology Labs

ZAPS includes over 25 labs that instructors can select from and assign. Instructor-only notes and ideas for the 10–12 labs that are the best fits for courses using Psychology in Your Life are provided in the Interactive Instructor’s Guide (IIG).
