FAQ

Where do I get a registration code?

If you bought a new copy of the textbook, your registration code is printed on a card inside the front of your book. If your textbook was used, the registration code probably has already been activated by the previous owner. If this is the case, you may purchase access online at the relevant StudySpace site.

If you bought an ebook, you should have received your registration code in an email.

What is the registration code for?

Your registration code can be used to access premium content on your textbook’s StudySpace site. Go to the StudySpace home page and find your textbook. Any content with a lock icon next to it is premium content. If you click on this icon, you can use your registration code to gain access to the premium content for a full year.

How do I find out what my quiz scores are from the website?

Your score will be shown immediately on your screen after you finish a quiz.  To send your quiz scores to your professor, enter your email address and password, as well as your professor’s. To see these scores later, go to the Gradebook and log in to your account. All of your quiz scores should be available.

When will the site be available?

If a launch date is set, it will be posted on the StudySpace demo site. If a demo site  is not available (i.e., if the page says “Coming Soon”), the launch date is generally three months after the book’s publication date. If you are considering buying a new textbook for the upcoming semester, please open a help desk request and we may be able to provide a more specific StudySpace launch date.

The website isn’t working. What do I do?

First, clear your web cache to make sure that this isn’t the problem. Then look over the rest of this FAQ to see if the problem is addressed elsewhere. Finally, you can submit a support request to Help Desk.

The website is grading my quiz incorrectly. What do I do?

If you believe that the answer for a question is incorrect, check with your instructor. If your instructor sees reason for concern, he or she can open a help desk request and the problem will be addressed.

I bought a new book, but my code does not work.

Make sure that you are using the code for the correct product. You may need to purchase another code if you are trying to access more than one site.

When I enter my registration code, I get the reply “code not found.”

Make sure you are entering the code correctly. The code will be four capital letters, followed by a hyphen, followed by four capital letters, such as ABCD-EFGH. Also, make sure that you are using the code for the correct product. Re-read the card that the code is printed on to make sure that you are attempting to access the correct site. Most cards contain a URL that will take you to the place where you should enter the code.

When I use my code, I get the reply “code already used.”

Registration codes can be activated by only one user, and they expire after a year. If you bought a used book, you will likely need to buy access to the premium content separately. If you bought a new book and your code isn’t working, please submit a request to the Help Desk.
