Between September 15 and November 15, college and high school students worldwide were invited to submit an original video recitation of one of the works listed below. Eligible submissions were judged by W.W. Norton in-house editors, who selected finalists for each of the works.
Follow the links below to vote on your favorite videos! Voting will be open between now and January 8th, 2012. One winner for each selection will be chosen to receive a $100 Barnes & Noble gift certificate and will have his or her name featured on the acknowledgments page of a Norton Anthology.

- "Here Follows Some Verses upon the Burning of Our House, July 10th, 1666" by Anne Bradstreet (The Norton Anthology of American Literature)

- "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?" (the first three and the last three paragraphs) by Frederick Douglass (The Norton Anthology of American Literature)
- "The Creation" by Ovid (The Norton Anthology of World Literature)
- Sonnet 12 ("When I do count the clock that tells the time") by William Shakespeare (The Norton Anthology of English Literature)
- "Ulysses" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson (The Norton Anthology of English Literature and The Norton Anthology of World Literature)
- "Song of Myself" (the first stanza) by Walt Whitman (The Norton Anthology of American Literature and The Norton Anthology of World Literature)
