Return Policy for Individual Orders

Print Books

If you send a book back to us within 30 days of receipt we will gladly refund the purchase price.  Books must be in saleable condition.  We cannot refund the cost of shipping.  Please include a copy of your invoice with the returned item.

Digital Products

Refunds for digital products must be made within 10 business days of the purchase.  To request a refund, please submit a request here: Refund Request.

Return Policy for Booksellers

Claims for shortage, loss, or damage must be made within 60 days of receipt. Claims beyond 60 days will not be honored. Norton is not responsible for losses unless insured at buyer’s instruction. Report all claims immediately upon receipt of shipment stating number of cartons received. Please retain cartons and packaging until your claim is resolved.

"Returnable" Accounts Only

All products sold by Norton on a returnable basis may be returned after three months from original invoice date. A packing list with invoice information for each title returned must be enclosed in the shipment, and transportation prepaid to our returns facility. Only salable books in print and in good condition will receive full invoice credit. Returns received without invoice information, or not in good condition, or of titles no longer in print will be subject to a reduced credit or no credit. In no circumstance does Norton assume responsibility for product returned to Norton that was neither produced by Norton nor invoiced by Norton and all such returns will be disposed of at Norton's discretion and without notification to the customer. Products purchased from indirect sources (wholesalers, distributors, etc.) and returned to Norton for credit will receive a reduced credit or no credit. Products purchased on a nonreturnable basis and returned to Norton for credit will receive no credit and all such returns will be disposed of at Norton's discretion and without notification to the customer.

Returns on textbooks will only be accepted for a period of one year from original invoice date. Returns on custom orders are limited to 20% of each custom title ordered within a given academic year. Returns in excess of 20%, or for prior academic years, will be returned to the customer at customer’s expense if the title remains in print.
