Return Policy for Individual Orders
Send a book back to us within 30 days of receipt and we will gladly refund the purchase price. Books must be in saleable condition. We cannot refund the cost of shipping. Please include a copy of your invoice with the returned item. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service department at (800) 233-4830.
Return Policy for Booksellers
All books sold by Norton for resale are fully returnable after three months from publication without invoice numbers or prior written permission. Books must be received at our warehouse in good condition, free of price marks or stickers. A packing list must be enclosed and transportation prepaid. Full credit will be issued if books are saleable and arrive with invoice information; without invoice information, a credit will be issued at 48% discount. Returns on superseded editions of textbooks will only be accepted for a period of one year following publication of the new edition. Credit balances are to be used for future purchases or against unpaid balances only.

Return Policy for Norton Custom
Norton Custom returns policy reflects the industry standard
maximum of 10% returns on each custom title ordered in a given academic year;
titles may be returned only during the academic year in which they were
ordered. Returns in excess of 10%, and books returned from prior academic
years, will be returned to you at your expense, and no credit will be given. A
book that Norton has declared out of print will not be returned, and no credit
will be given.
Alternate editions, such as three-hole punch editions and
paperback versions of hardcover texts, can be sold to other schools, and thus
follow Norton’s usual returns policies.
